Virtual Program: Stitch ‘n Time Needle Arts Group

Join us for a virtual Stitch ‘n Time Needle Arts Group on Monday, May 18, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Sometimes the most difficult part of any project is finding the time to work on it. Wouldn’t it be great to have a time set aside just to work on your project in the company of other like-minded people? Enjoy friendly tips, camaraderie and much needed time. Learn new skills or build on old ones. Whether you knit, crochet, cross stitch, needle point, weave, quilt, sew or any of the other needle crafts, you are welcome to join the group!

CCLS/CCL Board Meeting

Due to the COVID-19 threat, the Board of Trustees of the Chester County Library System/Chester County Library will be holding their monthly board meeting virtually. If you have always wanted to attend a meeting but haven’t had the time, this is your opportunity. Virtual Program: The Death of Privacy

Lawrence Husick, a technology attorney and terrorism expert, will discuss modern privacy issues from multiple perspectives. We are surrounded by surveillance cameras, smart phones, facial recognition systems, and other technologies that seem to know more about us than we know about ourselves. What should we think about the erosion of our privacy? Lawrence will discuss legal, social, technological and economic viewpoints. Is it possible to live privately, “off the grid,” in modern American society?

Face Mask Guidance from CCHD

The Chester County Health Department (CCHD) has published useful information about wearing face masks. It includes why we should be wearing fabric masks and the correct methods of wearing, removing, and washing them. There are also links for instructions on making masks, including a no-sew option.
