PA Business Tax Waiver Announced, Tax Return Deadlines Extended

Governor Wolf has announced that, over the next three months, businesses that collect Pennsylvania sales tax will not have to make Accelerated Sales Tax prepayments. In addition to this waiver, the state’s Department of Revenue had also already extended the deadline to file state personal income tax returns by 90 days, extended the deadline to file informational returns related to PA S corporations, partnerships, and estates and trusts and extended the due date for corporations with tax returns due in May.

Paycheck Protection Program: Help for Small Businesses

The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) prioritizes millions of Americans employed by small businesses by authorizing up to $349 billion toward job retention and certain other expenses.
PPPs are available through banks and credit unions. If yours isn’t offering PPP loans, please check area banks or contact the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry. Small businesses, eligible nonprofit organizations, Veterans organizations, Tribal businesses, self-employed, and independent contractors are able to apply if they meet the size standard.

Resources for NONPROFITS during the COVID-19 pandemic – CCCF

The Chester County Community Foundation is working with county departments, philanthropic partners and nonprofits throughout the Chester County region to coordinate COVID-19 funding initiatives. Nonprofits, especially those that provide basic needs such as food, healthcare and financial support have an immediate increased need for unrestricted funding to meet heightened needs.

The Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund provides flexible resources to Chester County nonprofits that are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of this outbreak.

Wings for Success providing modified services

Since its founding, Wings for Success has helped more than 11,800 women obtain the clothing, advice, and employment preparation needed to become self-sufficient.

In response to Governor Wolf’s recent order, they will be closed to the public until further notice but offering curbside clothing pickup. If you need clothing, please call 610-644-6323 or fill out our online client appointment request form. We will still be taking calls remotely during business hours.
