Are you looking for ways to be productive during your time home? Here’s a way for you and your family to learn a new language for free, at home with your library card! Mango Languages is an interactive language learning program that includes 66 foreign language courses for English speakers, 18 English as a Second Language (ESL) modules and cultural courses and movies.

Here’s how to get started:

Visit www.chescolibraries.org > Tools & Research > All CCLS Databases > Mango Languages

Either Log In, Create a Profile or select Quick Start. You will need to enter your library barcode number

Are you missing reading the Philly Inquirer while you’re stuck at home? Do you want to find out what is happening in our region? The Chester County Library offers free access to the full-color Philadelphia Inquirer online with your library card! Once you log in with your library card, choose 2018 – current (the bottom option) and then click on today’s date to go to the front page. You can easily zoom in and out as well as navigate to the next page using the on-screen buttons. You can even read back issues!

2019 tax deadline extended

The Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service are providing special payment relief to individuals and businesses in response to the COVID-19 Outbreak. ~~The filing deadline for tax returns remains April 15, 2020.~~ The filing deadline for tax returns has been extended to July 15, 2020. The deadline for income tax payments has also been extended to July 15, 2020. For more information, visit https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus.

Did you know that, with your library card and an internet connection, you can read digital copies of many of your favorite magazines on your computer or mobile device? Over 80 titles are available, including food, home/gardening, and news magazines, and much more! In addition to the most recent issue of magazines, older issues are also available to read.

To start exploring and to view a full list of titles on your computer, visit chescolibraries.org, select “Downloads,” scroll down the page to click on the Flipster button, and then enter your CCLS library card number. You can also download the Flipster app to get started on your mobile device.

eCard to Access PA POWER Library

If you don’t have your CCLS library card number, you can apply for an eCard to access the PA POWER Library databases. This eCard will allow access to the E-Resources available through the POWER Library (this eCard will not serve as a CCLS library card). Apply here for your eCard.

The Museum Pass Program is one of the most popular services offered by the Chester County Library and Henrietta Hankin Branch. While you are staying in, you can still visit the Elmwood Park Zoo. No museum passes needed! The zoo hosts Zoo School Live every weekday at 11 a.m. This is an interactive presentation. Remember to prepare your questions to ask the zoo keeper!
