Effective at 6:00 PM, March 13, 2020, the Chester County Library and Henrietta Hankin Branch Library will be closed for two weeks, from Saturday, March 14 until Monday, March 30, 2020.
The health and well-being of our staff, volunteers and patrons is of paramount importance to us. Some members of the public have expressed concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus and its impact on the local community and community services. The County has determined that the closing of all non-essential services is the best way to mitigate or eliminate exposure as well as how to address any issues should circumstances change.
We hope that this will help slow the spread of COVID-19 and help keep the number of infected at a minimum.
We encourage you to make use of the vast number of electronic resources available to you from home including e-books, e-audio books, digital magazines, and databases. These resources are accessible through our web site at www.chescolibraries.org. Due dates for library materials will be extended through the duration of our closure. Museum passes, Hotspots, and Rokus can be returned to the drop box.
