Legal Aid of Southeastern PA is excited to announce that Community Justice Project (CJP) has been approved by PLAN to represent anyone that Legal Aid cannot represent due to immigration restrictions with Landlord Tenant Issues.
The Referral Program is composed of Private Bar attorneys who have agreed to represent clients on a flat fee basis in Magistrate Hearings and Common Pleas Appeals. The flat fee will be paid by CJP to the referral attorney, and the client will not be charged.
This Program has been established to represent families in the expected wave of evictions looming and will be available until November or until funds run out. Attorneys are available in the following counties: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery.
Therefore, if anyone during this time has any Landlord Tenant issues whom you know do not meet Legal Aid’s immigration requirements please have them call Lucia Cuenca at 610-488-2005 or email lcuenca@cjplaw.org.
