Join us for Restorative Yoga, Tuesday, August 18, 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Join Yoga instructor Heather, from Three Crows and a Raven Yoga for a Restorative Yoga session. This form of yoga calms the automatic nervous system which is comprised of the brain and the spinal column. By calming the automatic nervous system the parasympathetic nervous system is engaged creating a rest and calm response. This practice aims to lower your heart rate and blood pressure, while strengthening your immune system to relax your body and bring it into homeostasis or balance. This restorative rest allows the mind and body to renew and regenerate through a series of 4 to 5 postures that are completely supported by props so as to avoid any stretching in the muscles. This class will be accompanied by meditative music, guided meditation techniques and breath work.
